Cal Bear Consulting LLC was founded by Rafael Barragan, M.A., BCBA, a dedicated Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with over 15 years of experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). With 11 years of hands-on experience in non-public school settings and a strong background in Staff Training and Supervision, Rafael created Cal Bear Consulting with one mission in mind: to bridge the gap families face when asking, “What’s next?” after traditional education ends.
We specialize in designing custom-tailored behavioral support programs for adults with developmental disabilities through California’s Self-Determination Program (SDP). Our extensive network spans across the Inland Empire, Los Angeles, and Orange County, connecting families with a wide range of highly qualified service providers — including Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), Community Integration Support Staff, Personal Assistants, Job Coaches, and various other Specialists.

Cal Bear Consulting LLC primarily works with adults aged 22 and older who have developmental disabilities and are eligible for services through California’s Self-Determination Program (SDP). Our focus is on individuals who have aged out of the traditional school system and need ongoing, person-centered support to continue building skills and independence in adulthood.
